This online event will help you prepare your pitch for Scotland's newly platformed writers' pitch event, 2025.

In this event, literary agents Lina Langlee and Louise Lamont will present the dos and don'ts of online pitching, along with key insights into the type of work agents and publishers are looking for in 2025.

We'll also give you details about how to pitch, how to sign-up for a Bluesky account, and how to use the vital hashtag when making your pitch.

To attend this online event, which is happening on Zoom, you must register, that is free, but places are limited to 95.

Louise Lamont

Louise Lamont - After a brief spell in the world of film development, Louise joined the literary agency AP Watt Ltd in 2006, before moving to LBA Books in 2013. She represents both adult and children’s books, and co-founded the children’s literature podcast Down The Rabbit Hole with author Katherine Woodfine and editor Melissa Cox.





Lina Langlee

Lina Langlee - Lina is from Sweden but moved to Scotland to study and never left. After working in publishing for a number of years, she realised that being a literary agent combined all her favourite bits of the book industry and made the switch. Lina works at The North Literary Agency, representing fiction across genres, from middle grade to adults. She was shortlisted for the RNA ‘Agent of the Year’ award in 2019, 2020, and 2023.
